Tightening sequence and torque specifications: Ensure the bolts are installed while the engine is cold, and lightly lubricate the bolt threads and washers with clean engine oil prior to installation.
Tighten the 8 main bolts on each cylinder head in the following stages:
1. Stage 1: Tighten all bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
2. Stage 2: Tighten all bolts an additional 60°.
3. Stage 3: Tighten all bolts an additional 45°.
