In the Ford Transit V348 model (model years 2006–2015/2016), the engine commonly referred to as the “4D24” is, in fact, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder diesel engine. Typically manufactured through a collaboration between Jiangling Motors (JMC) and Ford, this engine model is sometimes also designated as the JX4D24. It is a derivative variant of the Duratorq ZSD-424 series engines.
