The BMW N14B16 is a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-four gasoline engine (produced from 2006 to 2013), jointly designed by BMW and the PSA Group. This engine features an aluminum cylinder block and head, direct fuel injection technology, and a single-scroll turbocharger. Commonly found in the R56/R57 series MINI Cooper S models, the engine delivers a maximum power output of 172–175 horsepower and a peak torque of 177–192 lb-ft; in the special JCW edition models, its power output is further increased to 208–211 horsepower.
